- Your credit card number is only received here, we
do not pre-authorize any card number online. This way your
information is never needlessly re-transmitted.
- A small percentage of the total order is charged
immediately. In the event that a fraudulent order slips by our
accounting department, this small charge would allow the true
cardholder to view online the unauthorized purchase and contact
M-tech to halt the process.
- Each and every credit card is called in by a
person, rather than an automated process. This makes it impossible
for someone to use your card fraudulently with M-Tech.
- We call and verify every aspect of your address
as it is given on the web site. If even one part does not verify, we
cancel the order until you have the ability to correct the
information. This helps the consumer in that we would never be able
to charge your card incorrectly if someone were to attempt to use it
without your permission. At M-Tech we are interested in protecting
everyone's credit, not just our valued customers.
- Every false order is tracked by IP address and
these are automatically forwarded to the FBI Online Fraud division.
They then, build a database of these addresses and can positively ID
a criminal by piecing this information history back together.
- Internally we too track these numbers and
automatically delete orders from our system when they come in with a
previously abused IP address.
- All this ads up to M-Tech aggressively pursuing
online fraud attempts rather than just terminating the order. We are
proud to say that the FBI along with M-Tech have in fact delivered
many criminals to justice. So if you are planning to place an order
or use our site to verify someone else's card for validity, you are
wasting your time. We do not use online verify procedures.
Please remember too, every time you try to abuse some honest
hardworking persons good credit, we will do everything we can to
help the authorities find you.

Prices can and do change. Fortunately for the consumer they usually
go down. If you have order in production and the price goes down you
have two options: 1) you can keep your order in place and pay the
amount originally agreed upon; this will result in your order going
out on time as planned 2) you can cancel the current order and
place it again at the new lower prices. This will save you money but
delay the shipping of your unit while it is being rebuilt with the
more current lower priced components.
The reason for having to keep the original price is that when your
original order was placed , the laptop was built with items that cost
the M-Tech more money. If we drop the price on that unit M-Tech will
in all likelihood suffer a monetary loss. If you cancel your order,
then place the order again your laptop would be built with components
that cost less so your price will also be less. Any unused higher
priced CPUs can be used as a credit back into the new stock so M-Tech
does not lose any money. If we were to sell the higher priced original
components at the new lower prices, M-Tech would lose the option of
rolling that older higher price component back into an inventory
credit.
To find the total cost of shipping and the total cost of your
Laptop order just choose the laptop model you are considering
purchasing and choose the specifications for it you desire. Then click
the "BUY" button. Enter your information and choose a shipping method.
Proceed to the next page. There will be your complete cost of
purchase, including your shipping costs. If you wish to at this point
you can enter in your credit information and purchase the Laptop
online.

All M-Tech Laptops come with a CD of current drivers. You receive
this regardless of whether you order an operating system. You will
also have available to you an FTP address for downloads when they are
available.
Generally speaking you cannot upgrade video memory on a laptop.
Laptop computers are not like desktop PCs in this regard. Most
chipsets are soldered in place. In the future this may change. If it
does you will notice that option available to you.
You can obtain customized prices for any M-Tech Laptop by going to
the Specification pages for the laptop of your choice. There will be
buttons allowing you to customize and price the computer of your
choice. Occasionally you will also see an option for monthly specials.
This too allows you to get a price on the laptop that may be much
lower than if you priced it out piece by piece.
While other name brand laptop companies routinely make you wait 3-4
weeks for you laptop to be shipped, M-Tech is proud to be able
to say that most laptops ship within 2 Business days, but
please expect 3-4 Business days since we have no way of predicting in
advance what the work load will be on any given day.
Please try to avoid ordering your laptop computer at the last moment.
This can results in a less than perfect situation to build, test, and
adequately burn in your laptop Computer. Computers can and do go out
sooner if needed but keep in mind that you are in effect asking our
technicians to skip all or some of the quality control for your laptop
unit.

Q: I paid for Next Day shipping, why did my
computer not come the next day?
A: Please remember that the additional money you paid was for
"shipping". Your system still has to be built, tested, and burned in.
Average production time is 3-4 days, although shorter time schedules
are not unusual. When it ships you will receive it the next day.
Q: What kind of warranty does my computer come with?
A: All authorized M-Tech distributors are required to provide a
minimum of One Year Parts and Labor Warranty, as well as End User
Technical Support.
